Persija Face Tough Fixtures

JakOnline – These weeks could be the crucial weeks for Persija to compete for the top flight competition of  Torabika Soccer Championship 2016. Following Malang away game’s bizarre result, there are still several big games ahead of Persija. Two home games against Sriwijaya FC and Pusamania Borneo, and a classic clash against Persib Bandung at their home ground.

A couple of wins will place Macan Kemayoran at good position as a title contender of this season. Otherwise, a defeat could screw things up and Persija may end up as a mid-table battler.

This weekend, Persija is underway to start their mission by playing a home game against Sriwijaya FC. This game will be held on Friday, 24/6, at  Main Stadium of Gelora Bung Karno Senayan, Jakarta.

Persija Head Coach, Paulo Camargo, has thinking about the right strategy to fill the gap left by Jose Adolfo Guerra and Willian Pacheco. Jose “The Big Man” Adolfo set to miss the game due to his injury and Pacheco got suspended after being sent off in spite of his red card against Arema.

“Jose is not able to play for Sriwijaya FC clash, he is dealing with his injury now. Meanwhile, Willian, as we knew, he got a red card from last game against Arema. So, I’m thinking of this situation, thinking of the backup plan. I’ve started by thinking Syahroni could play as the starter. But I don’t know, I’m still working on it, we’ll see what decision I would take”, said the Brazilian.

Camargo also urged his players to keeping their eyes on some Sriwijaya FC players that could be a serious threat for Persija.

“Again, it’s not gonna be easy for us. Because we’re about to face one of the big teams in Indonesia. They’ve some dangerous players, like Beto, Hilton, and the Korean Guy (Hyun Koo) that probably become a serious threat for us. Therefore, we need to be careful”, he added.
